Well every future Sony game is going to be on PC and it's only a matter of time unt they release the same day. So we could say the same thing about PS5. But I don't think you could build anything remotely as powerful for $499 considering the costs of graphics cards.

Graphics cards a little different though because of mining. You'd be lucky if you could get it for just 20% more.  Mining has damaged the PC gaming market unfortunately.

What Is MSs monopoly these days? It sure isn’t OS, it isn't Xbox and it isn't even cloud.

Care to be specific?

Give it another year or so. I think in less than 18 months you'll start seeing Sony games day and date on PC.

The answer is almost definitely no. While the names will exist, MS becomes their parent company.  It's very odd to me that nearly everyone is looking forward to that.

Well we could also make the argument that we shouldn’t need insurance and that hospitals overcharge. Prices for services should be something that people could pay out of pocket. The average cost for stiches is around $400, then usually emergency room fees and God knows what else.  For some reason we never attack

Shopping for a health plan for a company is worse than people here can imagine. If you're a small business good luck. I had to do this. Basically you can make no one happy, but I tried to focus on "well A could make people go bankrupt if there is a true medical emergency, I guess B is better?"

I remember when he first hit the scene. I had lots of professors talk the way he did so it wasn’t anything usual to me. But boy, when he learned how much money that type of stuff could make him, you really how the dude leaned into it. Like I could almost literally seeing the gears in his head as he thought “how do I

I don't know if that's true to be honest, but at least they wouldn't really need to rebuild the models. Apparently the read dead engine was really at the end of it's life and any change would break the damn thing. Maybe shoving those assets in UE4 would have worked out better this time, but they still rely on lots of

I’m not actually sure anyone was expecting RE2 quality. But it was CRAZY inconsistent, had tons of misspelled store marquees. I'm not of the opinion that the task was an easy one, but I wish they would have been given more/time and budget to at retain some of the artistic style the PS2 versions had.

Why would you? They have good software emulation on the PS3 for PS2. Sounds like they have issues with some of their PS2 classics on PS4. But these issues wouldn't be hard to iron out if that's what they want to do.

It is. All acquired studios are. I was wondering why it was worded that “Bethesda owned by parent company zenimax.” While it’s technically true, Microsoft owns Zenimax. Sounds like they keep it separate still for tax purposes but all companies go under MS HR.

The master chief collection is probably the only other game that got a complete rework (netcode wise, which was a complete re-write) way after launch. It sucks it was released in a crappy state, but there is nothing cooler than fixing the problem.

Sega has always had a rich man, poor man thing going on. Super good at some things, super bad at others. But yeah Stolar wasn’t the answer. He had ideas and didn’t want to let the market decide. Even though they ran out of money, Peter Moore I think was a bigger factor for the success they did have.

I think who they acquired this time around will make a difference as well. Seems like these studios have a long history of self management, but now they don't have to constantly hustle for publishing deals. I'm sure in five more years they'll have a better idea of the push and pull that will be required.

It has more to do with the culture of the company inside and out of software. I’ve always thought it was insane too, but that’s what unhealthy culture does, it brainwashes people. Hell, medical residents frequently work 24 hours shifts even though we know decision making quality declines drastically after 8-10 hours.

That’s almost definitely true. I remember reading something from Peter Moore that the teams were basically making the games they thought were cool and not focusing on stuff that could be marketed at “cool.” He didn’t sound overly negative about it, but he just sorted of said something to the effect of “these games

Honestly Sega just ran out of money. Hardware is crazy expensive. The PS2 hype machine killed it. What I lament more than the DC failure is that Sega lost their development touch largely. Those first part DC games are still incredible. I remember thinking “well this sucks, but I guess we’ll still have these games just

Does that make it “suck” though? I have a Saturn tight next to me with an OSSC and Satiator and it’s of course awesome.
