For some reason the right wing has decided that the best way to defend the First Amendment is to be an asshole who goes out of his way to insult people constantly. “Triggering the libs” is something elected GOP officials now point to as a political accomplishment instead of passing legislation or something actually

At some point in the last decade or so, the right wing decided that simply expecting adults to be decent and civil towards one another was some kind of oppressive left-wing “agenda”, and that "patriotism" meant being deliberately being an asshole all the time.

I find this is true of most industries. Just because you enjoy the end product doesn’t mean you will also enjoy the process of creating it.

So basically, your concept of “free speech” is that one person is free to express their opinions but no one else is supposed to respond to those opinions with their own opinions?

You’re crazy if you think unions have anywhere even remotely close to the level of power that corporations do in America.

This. A lot of these loopholes actually ARE illegal, but the IRS has been so hamstrung by budget cuts and administrative restrictions in recent years that it simply don’t have the resources to investigate or enforce them. The IRS has little choice but to focus on the simplest and most egregious cases of tax fraud, and

It's a bizzare paradox in American capitalism. The more money you make, the easier it becomes to hide.

It’s amazing how many people in America claim association with agriculture for tax/legal/political purposes despite having absolutely no connection to farming whatsoever.

You act like crypto invented the concept of record-keeping LOL.

All of the things you described could be done using existing game record keeping systems. Blockchain isn’t necessary.

NFT’s are a dumb fad that will go the way of Beanie Babies in a few years. The only people who will make money on this are the creators who are pump-and-dumping them. The rest of the suckers are going to be left with a bunch of hyperlinks to jpeg and video files they spent thousands on which will be worth literally

Eh, multiplayer was a pretty minor feature in San Andreas.

Well I mean....... anyone can buy basically anything if they have enough money.

Consoles are still generally cheaper than they were in prior generations when you factor inflation in. Hell, the Atari 2600 cost $200 when it was released in 1977. That's the equivalent of $850 today.

The S is pretty easy to find these days but the X is almost impossible.

I’m guessing an extra controller, a couple of games, a year subscription to PS+, and maybe a store gift card.

It’s not just electronics either. My wife and I moved into a house a year ago and needed to buy some living room furniture. Practically everything was backordered or delayed. It took six months for our couch to arrive. Before the pandemic it would have taken 3 weeks or so.

It’s both. I mean scalpers are making the shortage worse, but the only reason scalpers have a market in the first place is because of the production shortage. If consoles were readily available then consumers would just buy them from actual stores at retail price. Scalpers are simply exploiting the fact that demand

I'd rather pay $70 for a complete game than $60 for a partially-complete game with a bunch of micro transactions in it.

Yeah I don’t understand the complaints either. Video games (and consoles) are cheaper now than they’ve ever been in real dollars. Inflation makes the nominal price of most things double every 2-3 decades, but for some reason video games are supposed to stay $60 forever? Gamers really are entitled assholes.
