THE answer is Duncan Hamilton. He won Le Mans in 1953 WHILE he was drunk.

Absolutely. If you are looking for high-performance summer tires (or even high-performance all-season tires), you will not find a better tire than Michelins. Akin to another poster, I put Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my Mustang Bullitt and that alone almost completely eliminated wheel hop under hard acceleration,…
Nope, it’s a Michigan car. See him out on Woodward and other shows all the time.
Something like a Fusion ST would probably fit that bill, if they made one.
The Flex and the Taurus X would fill the exact same hole in the Ford lineup. There are already too many SUVs/Crossovers/Tall Wagons, the last thing they need is another one.
A GT350R will absolutely destroy an M4. Sure, the M4 will be more refined and more comfortable and so on, but as far as performance, these aren’t even close anymore. a GT350R is as quick around a track as a 991 911 GT3!
Yes you can. Both the Tech and Track packages come with Mag Ride.
Yes, you can...
More driving great cars and less challenges getting jalopies across deserts.
If you get a GT350R with stripes, it will have the red detail stripes. If you get a normal GT350 with stripes, it will not. Red is kind of the theme of the R, as the badges are also red and I think the center marker on the top of the steering wheel is red, too.
This already happened with the Boss 302 3 years ago. The Shelby puts Ford significantly further ahead of BMW...
The new Shelby GT350 will absolutely DESTROY a new M3/M4. Ford announced yesterday that a GT350R is as quick around Grattan Raceway as a 991 911 Gt3 and is 1+ seconds quicker than a Z28 (which is quicker than just about everything else), and that a standard GT350 is as quick as a C7 Stingray Z51 and a 911 Carrera.
The GT40 did not win its first race. The GT40 won its first race after Carroll Shelby took over the program in 1965, but Ford got the crap kicked out of it for the entire 1964 season, first.
Why is everyone having such a hard time with this one? The question isn’t “Which race-inspired road car is the best?” or “Which track-day special is the best?” It’s what’s the best race car you can order from the factory? This means car that is actually a race car that you can legally race in a series somewhere in the…
They are not fake. I inspected them on the coupe at the Detroit Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago.
The 2017 G56 entry is a bio-gas powered car, not fuel cell.
I made my 14 year-old dream a reality and actually attended Le Mans last year. I had to have this same conversation with my friends who had had enough after like 4 hours. They wound up going back to the hotel for the rest of the race and picked me up outside the circuit at the end. I stayed for all 24 hours, refusing…
Wouldn’t the car have a lift-off targa top? Couldn’t he have just unlatched that and threw the roof off?
How about the Jaguar XJ-13 - Was built to take on the GT40s and P4s of the day, but regulations changed and the car never started a single race.
There are also rumors of McLaren announcing a GTE car this week, too.
