8250, I believe.
I think the real reason for this is that it allows them to have a bigger, more impactful-looking exhaust tip, without having to worry as much about it generating heat. If they had an actual exhaust tip that size, it’d probably be melting the plastic around it.
It’s almost like Jalopnik makes these lists full of crap on purpose, so us posters will go crazy arguing about them...
I don’t think Glickenhaus or Magnus Walker belong on this list. They’re not “celebrities” in the true sense of the word. They’re wealthy, eccentric car guys who have become famous within the automotive world because of their collections, not because of who they are.
They have become common-place, but I don’t see many of them on cars with manual transmissions. I’d be much, much more happy with a mechanical parking brake when it’s something I actually NEED to engage on a manual transmission.
You do realize that while the car looks similar to the last generation Camaro, not a single body panel is carry-over from the last one. Anyone making those conversions will need to completely retool...
There are SO many GIF-worthy faces throughout that video. GIFers, make us proud!
It’s a dealer plate with a magnet on the back. This is very common for dealers to use on demo vehicles.
It’s not a random number, it’s the same number of GT350Rs that Shelby built in 1965.
Technically they did, with “Ford Performance”...
They’ll make thousands in 2016 and beyond. These small numbers are just for the 2015 model year (even though the 2015s will just be 2016s with 2015 VINs).
Technically Riley won’t be competing against Corvette Racing at Le Mans, although they will now be running the same spec of car.
This race version certainly does not... vipers haven’t sounded bad since the first generation with the sidepipes.
Except the CT6 isn’t pegged to be an S-Class rival... It’s somewhere between an E and S class and should undercut the S-Class’ base price by several tens-of-thousands.
Because China. They buy more luxury cars than the rest of the world and they like staid, conservative designs. That’s the entire answer, right there.

Anyone else feel the wheels/tires are just a tad too big? This kinda looks like a Hot Wheels the way they are now.
All modern Astons are based upon the same platform. It wouldn't be difficult to make this a bit bigger for a DB9 replacement.
This thing would be hopelessly slow compared to anything racing at Le Mans. As cool as it is, it'd just be a moving chicane out there...
