My dad is perhaps the world’s foremost fan of Windstars. He’s had 4 or 5 over the years and still drives one today. But before the Windstar, we had an Aerostar. I remember many family trips in it and it was the first, such vehicle we had as a kid.

Very interesting that it has Pirellis while Dodge has already come out stating the car would come with Nitto Drag Radials. Might it also come with a set of Pirelli UHPS tires for HPDEs?
Enough of this argument. Seriously. Other than the way it sounds, which is completely subjective, the EcoBoost V6 makes the GT a better performance car in ever quantifiable measure than a V8 would.
By that logic, would you consider the Aston Martin One-77 to not be a British car? It was also made by Multimatic.... Or the Dodge Challenger? It’s also made in Canada. Or is the Honda Accord an American car?
Why is this a post on Jalopnik? Seriously. Write about cars, or GTFO...
Even those are probably only 16ish inches. An 815mm wide tire would be more than 32 inches!
Do we know how the doors open? They obviously must be different from the coupe as you can’t have gullwing doors on a convertible. Are they just conventional doors now, or do they open similarly to a McLaren/ New Ford GT? Given they’ve managed to make the roadster lighter than the coupe, I’m guessing they are now…
It will help you forget that the M6 that replaced it sounds like an absolute turd...
2018 is the 50th anniversary of the movie, so it was surely planned for this year.
I’m biased, because I am a Bullitt owner, but Bullitt owners don’t tend to cause any carnage...
Nope! Horrible idea.
*Dark Highland Green
Absolutely. It’s a less is more approach and the reault is so damn cool. It’s not the fastest, the loudest, the best handling, etc., but it may well be the coolest!
Therr were 816 in 2009 (roll over cars from 2008). There was 6624 between 2008 and 2009.
Because then Bullitt models wouldn’t be special... As a Bullitt owner, I’d ve seriously pissed if Ford just made it a standard color on any Mustang...
The faux gascap is absolutely a Bullitt. Guard green is gone and with 2018 being the 50th anniversary of Bullitt the movie, the stars are all aligning.
Anyone should. A California Special is literally just an aesthetic package. There is no substance behind it.
It isnt. Yes, there was 816 in 2009, but the 2008 run that came before it was much larger. In all, they buily 6624 over 08 and 09 and 5582 in 2001. So a lot more than Jalopnik stated, but still more rare than almost every other special edition Mustang.
A Bullitt is far more than just paint and wheels... and when seen next to each other, Guard and DHG are nothing alike.
Sounds prohibitively expensive...
