Sockets are typically stronger than wrenches, and socket wrenches have moving parts inside the head that aren’t meant for crazy amounts of torque. Breaker bars are composed of two pieces, a swiveling socket head and a big ass bar. Simplicity and strength is the key to their fame.
It depends on the type of toque wrench, some types will have their calibration thrown off by using them in reverse.
It’ll wear the torque wrench quicker and it’ll lose accuracy.
Least used tool in my toolbox. If I didn’t get it for free, I wouldn’t even have one. Unless the bolt/nut is 1” or bigger, you’re honestly better off just using vice grips.
Forgot a few:
Brake cleaner before welding! Never do it! If you do any welding on a part that’s just been brake cleaned, the chlorine will ignite and turn into a toxic gas that kills brains cells surprisingly fast. Enough it can kill you instantly too. Never, ever, ever use brake clean to clean metal to be welded.
