BMW's problem isn't as dire, with the BMW brand up 1.7%. Their SUVs are aging and people seem to be waiting for the new Mini, which should help boost the brand if it's a success.

The are indeed headlight washer nozzles that pop up when headlights are on.

"Expensive" is all relative. Compared to the soon to be announced F150 Ferrari and the 918RSR the i8 is a bargain! 

That was the myth.. something GM neglected to disclose as production neared ready. It was also supposed to get 200 MPG.. anyway, the Volt is a decent car for what it is, too bad it's not doing well.. 

To correct: the Volt does drive the wheels through a very complex series of clutches. 

The Volt is a normal hybrid with a trick clutch drive system. The i8 is a parallel series hybrid that drives different wheels on demand. Elec engine drives the front, ICE drives the rear, when both are active it becomes a parallel series hybrid to equal AWD. nobody currently offers this setup.
