Wow... good thing you didn't get the Legendary edition... I hear that version is just an empty box!

Exactly - the correct action is to pull it from shelves. SE, even if it broke some sort of promotion contract, can still sue GS for tampering with their products and selling them new. This creates poor image for SE. The customer can class action their balls too.

They CAN.... but they will be sued for sure.

Except that they are still stealing from the customer. Their only action in this case is to return the product to the manufacturer not alter the product and distribute it to customers. By altering the product they have now stolen from the customer. What if someone wanted to buy the game and keep it as a collectors

So go back and demand a code. If they won't give it to you get the store managers name, the store number and date. Then wait for the eventual class action case that will happen.

No no no no no no... you're missing the big point here. There may be an agreement with SE that may have been wronged here, I'll give you that. However, removing something from a package and then selling it to a customer as "new" is where they are going wrong. They are TAKING something from the customer and it is

They may be within their rights per SE, but per the customer they are not.

Agreed. A good bit of freedom (a la FF6), but keep that story shit roped in. The more open a game is, the less cohesive the core story becomes. So it becomes a balancing act. I think people just aren't used to games that are really open, so the idea is more fresh and thought of as better. This then obfuscates the

Wow... this action will lead to everybody suing Gamestop - Squenix and the customers alike.... way to go stupid.

Yep!

This..... this makes good sense.

Bros..... the anti hipsters

It will happen on Android is Sir Baron Von Jobsenheimer doesn't do it first. Sure there are some weakass bluetooth controllers out there and wiimotes and PS3 controllers have been activated, but not by any large extent. The only reason Android doesn't have a more unified or prodominent control scheme thus far is

Apple iControl is released and this point is thrown out the window. There would be a unified way to control games on adequate hardware that connects to a tv.

There's millions in the wild today. You can get one online for under $100. That's what I did, and as an FU to Nintendo I modded the crap out of it on day one. If I'm going to be treated like I did something wrong.... then I'm going to make sure I did something wrong.

I had a knee surgery a couple years back and was given a full bottle of percocet. I hadn't had that stuff before. I used half the bottle over a week or two replaying the original Dungeon Siege. Then had amazing Friday nights for the next year playing games is the most relaxed state I have ever been in.

It should be noted to anyone that tries this. Nintendo can tell even if you undo it. They will refuse to honor a warranty and will go as far as lying to you if you're willing to pay for repairs saying they are unable to repair a device that ever carried unauthorized software.

Even if used to piracy at this point it's of nominal importance. The Wii is dead aside from a couple releases. Nintendo has all but shut the lights off.

I disagree. Lost Odyssey suffered from just being horribly slow. Fighting was slow, dialogue was totally drawn out. I just didn't like it at all. Just my opinion though.
