Wow.... this is dumb then. Why level up stats if everything else in the world scales with you? You can save yourself TONS of time and just not level up and not scale the enemies.

There's exceptions to your last point. I played game dev story for hours at home. Awesome game, did two run throughs and spent maybe 10 hours on it. Good game, but I'd agree that amount of attention to a cell game is rare...

This is a dangerous game game companies now play. Sure bundling in the DLC and making a game of the year edition does make some sense. You'll get inevitably more new sales and be able to combat used sales without any worry you're degarding your product.
