I think you're on to something - Gears and Uncharted are character driven. Also, I didn't "Ah Ha!" on FFX until my second play through. So I agree it was probably fragmented. I also remember thinking it was convoluted and attempted to be cool by being too deep the first time I played it. So you're right that they

When i see it on the shelf at a value village, or 5$ at a gamestop.... maybe. Wont play online though, never. So they wont get my money, for sure.

No no no.... Money is a byproduct of supplying a customer goods via one niche or another. For Walmart it's prices, for EA it's marketing, for Valve it's customer service.

Be fair ... he said whingy. I wonder if that means whistling minge or something like that.

Hmmm except its MORE software to add and a new place to recruit friends with a new respository for games... aside from all that you're right on.

I entertained the idea. This made up my mind that I wont buy it. I only wanted it for PC and I only buy games through Steam at the moment. The 50-60 dollar impulse definitly won't happen now. Jesus Christ, you should know this.

Completely disagree. Final Fantasy X has one of the most multilayer-ed stories of any I have heard. It was a thinly veiled allegory that closely resembled the likes of Plato's "The Allegory of the cave" but also held similar themes to Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery". There was more story in that game than most

Yeah you win dude. I have to admit, I was looking to see what was in Gears 3s collector box, but was not convinced to purchase it. I still looked though.

I felt that way about Dragon Age. Strong story but lots of freedom. The mechanics and performance as well as gameplay got in the way from me thinking that game was a grand slam. It was good, just not great.

I bet he's going to kick some ass on the restroom sign guy.... white sonovabitch has been asking for it.

I just got a digital up converter for my PS2 this week (to play on my PC monitor) and took some unplayed RPGs out. Persona 3 is in there.... as is the fabled Nocturne which I started.. LOVED and then stopped playing cause I was in college. So... advice well noted.

That racist. Why's the person holding a gun have to be black huh?

Recently I've been sad about the games I play. I remember some of the games in my past where I would think about the story for days or weeks afterward because I truly attached to the characters. Sadly this rarely happens anymore. Games now fall into two buckets for me. The shallow story that is made up for with

I thought about this - however if that's your prerogative you wouldn't want to open or play it. Plus will it really be worth the additional amount you paid if it were opened?

Can someone explain collector's editions for me? I've never really understood paying $20-$80 for some extra art pieces or toys etc. I'm not trying to be a dick, I just don't understand. Now if there was some extra game in there.... different story.
