Ok candid comments -

Your idea starts ok sound enough... then it turns into Mulholland Drive.

With Capguns no less

These guys made Smuggle Truck... a game that made me "meh =/"

A coworker of mine saw I had an Android phone and actually got upset (red in the face) ranting about how I made the wrong decision by not buying an iPhone. Of course, he's a moron because 'to each their own' but man.... some people are fuckin crazy.

I agree, this ending for Mass Effect 3 does look better.

Yes, you nailed it. I'm the most ignorant person on the planet because most shooters seem the same to me. #Awesomestarbro

Dare I say: If Sony and MS rumors are to be believed, I'll be a Nintendo Wii U/ PC player. I find myself to be a steward of video games, with a substantial collection. If I'll need to authenticate games against servers that I can't predict will exist in the future...... well, then devs creating those games don't

What makes this any different than Battlefield? Puh-lease this game is already being made a couple times a year by big publishers. The reason you're not getting funded is because they're already making your game several times over.

It's a stretch when discussing the homogenization of the medium and concerns over it to say "What if everyone suddenly disliked games?" The easy answer here is that games would change. I can only hope that the future Jade is concerned over comes to fruition. When the market gets bored with the same thing over and

Now playing

I saw the open to this article and was like.... wait a minute, I just wrote that same thing myself like a month ago! Funny that I was just thinking about why people play games. Boredom is definitely one I hadn't considered, but maybe there's merit in the idea.

If "short life span and rare success of an IP" is right then "They were more likely trying to kill off a competitor so they can remain king of the social apps" isn't.

Too many bad variables there. Think 20-30gb downloads with many bandwidth caps and the patchy coverage of bandwidth. I agree it will happen, but if MS were to do this, the ship would sink on it because phyiscal media is still needed.

+1

Unless the games popularity died out when Zynga copied their game or people got bored. Yes, though if they made 250k for eternity that would have been a better deal.

That's because gamers on the planet are a 1/10 ratio. So when a game comes out and pitches itself as "not a game" then you have 10x the user base. It's like Mt. Dew vs Water. Everybody drinks water so if you can figure out how to sell it, you win.

WTF are you saying? Which industry? I can't name one that charges that much, but since you think they all do I would love to hear your top 5.

Millions of users - 30+ game IPs - Massive Media attention - 250k a day - New York office - 40 talented employees you don't have to go out to hire.

They should be that on the box next to this.....

And when it fails.... they copy them!
