I mean I’m 24 and I have one persistent hair on my chin that my iPhone is pretty helpful with, but in all seriousness my comment was more about pointing out the total pointlessness the action of covering the mirror was in a humorous way. I could have gone for commenting on that special style of privileged feminism

omg

You are part of an ancient thing that doesn’t know what it is, and can’t.

you are a chill person and u keep saying chill things that everyone is appreciating

Your weltanschauung of transgenderism is subordinate to Caitlyn Jenner’s, because her identity group has suffered more than yours. And you’re on jezebel.com. Them’s the laws of physics ‘round these parts. QED.

I have to disagree, respectfully. For example, when motives are things like extreme politicial or religious beliefs, I think its important to expose exactly what that type of mentality reaps. Out of the horror of the shooting in Charleston, a much-needed conversation happened about “Southern pride” and ”heritage.”

Actually, BlackGirlLongHair did a similar post to this the very day before the PopSugar post that included many of the same looks. So it’s not true that black women didn’t take the chance to make a post like this. In fact, the timing of the PopSugar post has me wondering if they didn’t “borrow” inspiration from BGLH.

When I was young, I was taught to think, “Will this cause unnecessary hurt to other people?” before I did things. It doesn’t matter what others think of me, but it *does* matter to me that I treat other people with respect.

Oh honey, no. We just think they’re dumb and we’re going to have a great, great Tuesday morning making jokes. Thanks for clickin’!

I generally agree with your point. I don’t think anyone should be silenced in their discussion of their work exploitation. But if you’re going to write a piece about Amazon’s corporate culture, for instance, I think you’re obligated to spend a solid portion of your piece writing about how that corporate culture

If you read about American biases towards black people, then you know there’s probably no chance that racist bias didn’t effect how “loud” fellow passengers and the train management staff found the group. Stick a group of WASP ladies in the same seats with the same volume, and you’d probably get less of a reaction, or

It was my dad and stepmom (about 25 years ago). I was obsessed with horses growing up but it just never worked out. Parents divorced (you buy her a horse, no you buy her a horse), taking care of my sisters, job, early college. A slew of reasons. So when I finally had the means and the time I started riding, English

Once, my mom and dad told us they were giving us the house for the weekend while they were taking a cruise. I was 18 and I was going to have friends over. It was going to be a fantastic weekend!

My mom and I had a rough time in high school. I had a hair-trigger temper that came directly from her. We were in the car arguing about... nothing important, probably, when she was getting really mad that I was insisting on holding a packet that had my competitive dance photos in it while we argued. (We use sign

I cast a glaring side eye at feminists who think women’s names belong to their fathers, but men’s names belong to the individual men that bear them. That’s not even “beginner level feminism.” It’s straight up sexism and dehumanization of women.

MF never dated her, that was a stupid rumor. Please...we have Cosby, yall have Woody. Enough already. Check his dating stats, he dates women his age. May peace be upon him and his throughout this horrible tragedy.

Come on, she just stated (using dog whistles) what many white people in America believe:

Things would be better without the blacks and browns. They hold us back.
While not (yet) brave enough to try to get rid of these people themselves, they wish for a cleansing rain to wipe them away, while sparing them the guilt.

I think that’s exactly, what she wants.

Why wait for a hurricane, Kristen?

Kristen, it’s been done better.
