There is no such thing as too sexy.
Only not sexy enough.

Interesting idea, but a survival game with no permadeath?
In my opinion if a game doesn't at least get 11.75 out of 10, it is probably garbage...
Well, that's where the issue with stretch goals come in.
I wish they would too - far better to be honest about what's really needed, than overpromise and underdeliver.
Another problem is that this here shows all the DELAYED projects as if they are failed projects that will never finish.
If only we were able to take a peek under the hood of the big industry developers.
See how many delays and postponed projects they have running around... Probably projects that run on massively bigger…
And who's fault is it that the games don't get finished? The banks? The payment system? The consumers wallets? No, it's the developers. Any game can be made on any funding model, yes the amount of money is certainly a contributing factor, but in the end it all comes down to whether or not the developer knows how to…
Why is making a game about something automatically trivializing it? Seems like being forced to actually experience even in a really tertiary way some other part of the world could be pretty helpful in making people think about it.
OH NO! You offended me with your hurtful comments! I can't take all their negative criticism!
"a guy who is responsible for your hobby."
*GASP* How can you say such hateful things! Oh, my feelings, why... WHY OH WHY?? Why won't people think how much harm their words are causing.
I'm not Cliff Bleszinski. I'm not Ken Levine. I'm just a guy who has seen a lot of hatred that is undeserved for a medium that really is just a piece of entertainment. I'm relatively new to the field—I've been working in games for five years—but I have never seen this level of hatred in any other industry. Do…
More than Jennifer Hepler (who had the audacity to write for Dragon Age 2) or Phil Fish (who said mean things to people on the internet, the fiend)?
I have mixed feelings about this article.
Person writes heartfelt blog article about how much they dislike internet hate.
Exactly. It's much more bark than bite, and if you realize that while playing it, it kills a lot of the attention.
I think the comparison is important for people who are less familiar with the genre, and who aren't necessarily going to know the history behind the Amnesia series in particular. At first glance, and if you watch their trailers, they look like similar games, and given the proximity of their release date, there is…
Problem I had with Machine for Pigs is that it slowly builds up tension, but it leads to nothing and the tension is gone. It does that over and over again.
Amnesia A Machine For Pigs was a bit let down for me because even if the ambiance was good, the mechanics were bad, the "I fear for my life" was not there (it was in the previous opus!), the frequency of time-stop-reading-a-page-of-text is too high and finally the plot is far more "dumb" than it looks. I mean, I will…
