Is it just me, or are there really a lot more of this type of story these days? This is the third or fourth story this year about a man stripping naked in the airport. Is it all a big conspiracy? Is there a chemical in airport wall paint that makes certain dudes want to drop trou? Are aliens finally invading? WTF?

Yeah - I was trying to inject positivity into my Tuesday. It didn’t work, so I’ll just go back to getting yelled at by rich people. At least I tried.

Yeah - I’ve gotta get my sarcasm font fixed.

In general most people seem completely unaware that other human beings with needs and wants exist and they get confused and angry when you point that out.” This jumped right out at me. It’s the best expression of the selfish emotional state that many poorly adjusted adults enter when told “no” that I have ever read.

Thanks for taking the time to respond; well put. I think 800 cc is about as big as I dare for my first, possibly the Vulcan 800 Classic. I’m pretty well stuck on the Shadow, though, and there are plenty of examples for sale under $3,000. Now I have to pick a helmet!

Oooh... thanks for that suggestion. You’re the second one to mention the Boulevard line; there are some pretty nice ones for around $2,200.

Came here to post this.

I understand the reasoning behind all these bikes, but there isn’t a “cruiser” in the bunch. I’ve got my heart set on a Shadow 750; does this list mean that’s a bad choice? Should I start on a bike where the look and riding position are not at all what I want, and just trust that y’all know waaaay more about

A real Explorer would have gone on an Excursion, thrown a Fiesta for his Escort, and (like a true Maverick), conducted a Probe at a quick Tempo.

First Gear: Sounds like the same kind of echo chamber effect that happened in the music industry in the late ‘90s. “Why should we change, when our customers are just too stupid to know better?” Actually, the U.S. Government has had that attitude for nearly 100 years now, too. That kind of problem is systemic, and only

I’m late to the party, but regarding switched pedals, I’ve always had the idea that I’ll (someday) make my favorite car all but impossible to drive for anyone but me. I never would switch the pedals, but blanked out gauges and a funky shifter (along with a trick startup procedure) are certainly on the list.

“...the two old men from the Muppet Show...” Statler & Waldorf.

Excellent article (as always!); I’ve been going through this same process forever. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one!

I propose a very unpopular solution (intended to lower accident rates overall) that will never make it into law nationally, but could gain some traction if an influential state or two were to explore it. Ready to hate me? Here goes: mandatory practical driving re-test every three years for everyone, as well as online

Car hungry... must eat Frank! Nomnomnom...

QOTD spinoff: Trucks from movies or TV that should be made irl NOW!

That car is about as easy to look at as Mr. Lyons' quotes are to read.
