Well, I guess it's good that you recognize those things in yourself, but at the same time, torturing yourself because the community didn't respond the way you may have anticipated seems like it would do more harm than good in the long run. Especially given how vicious and fleeting the internet response tends to be.

That's the challenge of writing publicly on the internets, I suppose. Everyone wants some reinforcement, good or bad, and everyone wants eyes on their articles. It's the nature of the beast.

Seconded.

Well, all that means is that there are others who are writing on TAY that get some exposure.

Overreact much?

I gave up trying. I've marked posts with the speakup tag, I've tried other methods, tried to formalize me writing a bit - didn't matter. I don't do a lot of writing about games, because others have the lock on that, and I'd rather add other stuff to TAY, honestly.

*facepalm*

Risky business is the best business.

That's what HE said.

(Shhhh.. it's an idle threat, but they don't KNOW tha - wait.)

I would say no, unless Kotaku or it's parent company copyrighted the phrase, "Last Gen Heroes", and I would be willing to be they didn't.

I'm very excited about this development, and what it may mean for the rest of the Marvel/DC/Independent comic-to-film adaptations moving forward.

Good luck with the new PC - Out of curiosity, going Win7 or Win8?

I'm in the same boat, but I may be waiting longer than February.

If the decision is based on potential performance, doesn't it make sense to then wait until that potential is realized before making a decision?

I guess I like the thought of a shiny being a random occurrence, but I am also someone who loves Wonder Trades and is a sucker for a toy in blind packaging.

Evan, thanks for the continued linkage for Talk Among Yourselves - it's wonderful to see the parent blog supporting the child. I would urge anyone reading Kotaku to come over to TAY and join in the fun!

I agree, there is a time and a place and a con is neither of those things. :)

Again, though - a big part of this is missing, and that is HOW the question was asked as well.
