The difference is there are very good reasons to be uncomfortable about religion, homosexuality? Not so much. As to say there is no good reason to be uncomfortable with it, it's irrational. Discomfort with religion on the other hand is very rational.
Um Hello the Force. Duh. Something tells me Macgruber isn't even force attuned let alone ready to take on Jedi or Sith.
Coming from an American in America I fell in love with movies because of okay it was Star Wars, but I remember exactly where I was when I saw Fist Of Fury (it was called The Chinese Connection back then) for the first time. No one in their right mind could watch that film and say that Chinese films lack soul.
It's a cool idea, but it's not cool enough for early adoption. I'll wait until there are more options, because it will mean more competition which will in turn mean better prices and quality.
Not a fan of shooters in general but my god it's such a fun game.
Even a monstrous gaming rig... wait... how expensive is electricity where you live?
Yeah where did that start? I feel like I see this a lot. Ah well I mean it's certainly no less original than practically every "magical" effect. It's either swirls or hexagons, so pick your poison right?
And the beautiful thing is they aren't just family films produced and marketed to a particular audience, he just made amazing movies. Movies which also happen to be universal in their appeal and message.
The real question is, how many new players did World Of Warcraft suck in when they added their version to the game.
It's all about context, when you say that you blew off an important test to raid, and that you "lost a quarter of college to WoW" that in no way tells me that you're doing well in your life, and in fact implies everything I put in my original comment. Saying that you're "not badly off" is not the same thing as saying…
I think that it's no different than sports. We encourage kids to play team sports because of the benefits right? Learning how to cooperate with peers, increasing hand eye coordination, problem solving, all of that right? Plenty of kids shoot themselves in the foot with unrealistic dreams, like becoming a pro football…
I think the case could be made that while playing video games people are actually bettering themselves, as opposed to activities like passively watching television. Sure this varies from game to game and from television show to television show but let's be honest, most people are watching things like American Idol and…
"OK, I'll weigh in here: if I had spent half the time I spent on games on studying and learning, I could have probably done even better for myself. That's not to say that I'm badly off, but I'm by no means maximizing my potential."
I'm just wondering where the homophobia is coming from if notsofunnyguy actually believes in evolution. I guess that goes to show that religious people don't own a monopoly on stupidity and bigotry. He's got to be trolling right?
Why do I get the feeling much of his sentiment comes from the fact that his particular love is dying? I'm willing to bet competitive video games will surpass baseball in the next twenty years with regards to viewership, endorsements and player salaries. American football and basketball probably have little to worry…
Agreed but we are talking about baseball. Even golf is more exciting to watch.
Unfortunately your experience doesn't add to this conversation. You have a problem with self motivation and prioritizing your time. Video games could be any thing in your narrative, alcohol, drugs, even sports like martial arts. Hell there are people who are workaholics and though they may be making more money, that…
You should still be aiming while laying down cover fire. If you're not you're wasting bullets. Cover fire isn't just pray and spray, it's a tactical decision. For the love of god... I hate guns and even I know this.
