Well since most of these games have attached achievements I'm sure they may integrate the other aspects of their websites with this. You can look up stats on both WoW and Diablo characters / players on the individual websites and their existing chat system is now account wide.

Fair enough, and a good point actually. I think the problem is less anti-heroes and more or less writers have a hard time with those characters, so they end up being really hackneyed. Not to mention the fact that a character can and should be flawed without it necessarily being an anti-hero, and a lot of writers…

But regular heroes are boring. Take Scott Summers for example, I hate that character because even when they try to make him interesting by giving him character flaws he just comes across as a dick.
