Then why don't you use the Pages app? It's beautiful, feature rich, syncs with iCloud, and it's only 10 bucks, which isn't really that bad after you spent 500 on an iPad. plus the 79 for the keyboard.

I found mine to get warmer than my previous iPad 1. But I just thought it was because of the new processor and bigger battery use. I haven't had it shut down on me though.

Only if you plan on using Apps2SD or plan to move a lot of apps to the SD card. I personally don't see the need to move that many over. You won't really notice the speed difference unless you frequently connect to the computer to transfer files. Even then, most cards are probably fast enough.
