I totally agree with you. And would be very low if it wasn’t for the bone that bungie threw out during the Halloween event. I was barely 540 going into festival of the lost. But with horror story dropping at 600 I was able to climb to 598 by thanksgiving using iron banner bounties and regular milestones.

The Horror Story boost was a god send! 

Festival of the Lost was THE time to catch up. It was basically a free 600 weapon and that helped a lot. And then you got the Thunderlord quest that dropped around 10 light levels over yours (and it is a Power Weapon, one of the bitchest slots to fill up).

Yeah, they are. I’m at 595, and I don’t play hardcore (an hour or two a day if I can). Keep doing anything that gives “powerful rewards” and you’ll get there.
