@sixfootgnome: This was my biggest problem with the (otherwise great) game. I knew something was wrong when I found myself going weeks without sleeping in the game because I didn't want my character to level up even though I had the level up icon sitting in the corner of my screen.

@mintycrys is on an UBER STREAK!: But even if it was a technological limitation, it can still be used today as a stylistic choice that evokes a different feeling from the viewer. It makes sense to me to use it in this type of situation to replicate the mood of an old film noire.

Even if all games are up to date, trying to start something in offline mode often brings up errors, and "unable to connect to steam" messages for me. Not a huge problem, but a little annoying when I want to game on my laptop away from a wifi…
