Still less polluting than the industry behind fossil fuels and ICE cars. Also, batteries are recyclable. Also, technology is improving everyday. Also there are batteries being developed that require fewer or no REEs.

Old picture, before or soon after LH started paying attention.
It’s not an ultimate solution, that I agree, but in the majority of cases, it’s an improvement. It’s been shown in various studies that lifetime emissions of BEVs are lower than their ICE equivalents; and that’s just with current tech, which is improving every day. Batteries can be and are recycled, they also have a…
All good fren, two years ago, those would all be valid criticisms.
It would be great for Lewis to switch to FE.
He sold the jet, flies commercial, fur is banned in CA, and LH’s Tommy line is vegan.
So do nothing instead of something? Got it.
To name a few issues, the livestock industry:
Since you asked:
Well the BMWs did have several issues, and the KTMs were more off-road oriented (much closer to the actual Dakar bikes). BMW was just smart enough to not be worried about the inevitable issues and look at how that gamble paid off...

Possibly battery swaps, but the trucks will have a greater range that they could charge maybe in the bigger cities. Rivian is obviously using this as a marketing tool also, so I assume they have a plan for that.
Eh, they’re getting paid to do it, unlike any of us. But yes it seems like it would be tedious. I’m curious as to how they’re going to handle that. I know they have support vehicles, at least one of which is a Rivian R1T. Maybe they can charge from the trucks?
Can’t argue with that, but it seemed the KTMs of the time were more off-road oriented than the BMWs. I don’t know how they would have handled all the extra weight they put on them though. But remember the BMW’s frames cracked and they had multiple shocks blow, just off the top of my head.
They’re keeping it pretty low-key becasue they are going near well-populated areas and don’t want to be found by fans along the way. Claudio is apparently with them too.
Of course, just like the BMWs or the KTMs they wanted in LWR and LWD, but got turned down for.
Not sure what your point was at all.
