We say that as a joke, like Tar-zhay instead of Target. Maybe she used to say it as a joke and then forgot it was a joke and started saying it all the time?

He is adorable in that gif.
I got that one a few times too.
Maybe the commenter was the judge.
Someone had to complain about a copyright violation though, right? Since it’s her music, does that mean that it’s just some busy body filing complaints about anyone who uses music just in case it violates copyright?
Not if you don’t have to money to pay the deductible. There tends to be an assumption that if you have insurance, you’ll get medical care. That’s not always the case. If you don’t have insurance you’re fucked. But if you do have insurance, you still might be fucked.
Oh sorry for my poor sentence structure! Yes, that would have been more interesting (but far sadder!) than a snarky article about a reality show with tall women.
Did I imagine it or was there an article about tall women that disappeared?
Maybé!

I was trying to add the link earlier, but I was kinja’ed. https://mobile.twitter.com/JoyceCarolOate…
She was tweeted outrage about a photo of Stephen Spielberg with a ‘dead’ dinosaur. She now says it was a joke, but judging from her past tweets she might just be covering.
Just wait until Joyce Carol Oates hears about people training velociraptors!
We’re not in disagreement. What you describe is exactly what I mean by insurance not being the same as care. If you have insurance, but can’t afford the deductible, that’s tantamount to not having health care. For others it might be physical access—you have insurance but the closest facility isn’t in your network. Or…
Having insurance does not always mean you actually have access to care.
Health insurance =/= health care
When I was reading that part, I kept thinking that THIS is why we need a single payer health care system. It is ridiculous to have to rely on your employer for health care to be on a transplant list. I know the Affordable Care Act changes that, but the system is still so complex.
Yes, exactly! I know pregnancy shouldn’t be pathologized. But it also shouldn’t be treated as if it’s somehow physically or psychologically less taxing than an abortion.
