I laughed at the Switch and awaited its failure, going so far as to call it Nintendo’s nail in the coffin. I was sure we’d see a PS4 of Xbox Zelda within a few years as Nintendo left the hardware business to focus on developing.

Going into this with a HUGE grain of salt, after the glowing reviews came out for TFA and then seeing just how boring and derivative it was. It is almost as if people want to and encourage hollow spectacle with weak plot, atrocious writing, and poor character development.

I think the lack of delays was helped by the fact that Nintendo has clearly been working on first year Switch titles for sometime now, likely due to having decided that there was no saving the WiiU sometime ago and thus turning it’s various internal teams loose to focus on the Switch.
