@Kenofthedead: Hahahahaha, that's EXACTLY the same thing I first thought!

@o0RaidR0o: Just about any film maker with 10 years (10 years!?!) and a nearly unlimited supply of funding could have made this film. It's no wonder it's beautiful to look at with the amount of money/time it took to create it. If it didn't look so nice, I'd be seriously concerned why it took him 10 years (10…
Grrrr....stupid Bioware deciding to not support Macs with this game. So much for Apple's claims that the Intel chips would make things better for the gaming community because then developers would be able to more easily program for Macs. No, they just expect us to shell out for a Windows OS instead. Sigh....Really…
@geolemon: Seriously??? The woman was breaking the rules of the theater, which is "no recording the film". You're not allowed to just record a little bit and get away with it. You can't go into a store and steal just a couple things and everybody is fine with it. Breaking the rules is breaking the rules. So she…
Cool! I liked Garfield in Dr. Parnassus, so this actually makes me slightly more interested in the Spidey re-boot. Still not happy about them kicking out Raimi, but we'll see how it goes I guess.
As I've been playing through FFXIII lately, I've been thinking about this very thing. I can't say I've ever played a game that has as many cut scenes as FFXIII has. It's almost more like playing through a movie, rather than a video game. In addition, the only 'playing' that happens in the game is more like a Sim…
Well, if you look at just the games I actually own and want to complete, I'm about 1/3 of the way through FFXIII, with both Bioshock 2 and Borderlands on the shelf waiting to be opened. But that's rare for me. I usually don't buy something new till I finish what I already have. So, usually, I technically have zero…
"This is the critics version of flipping over the Monopoly board and stalking from the room."
@Steve Williams: I think they use that as a way to immediately show new viewers, and to remind current ones, that this isn't your ordinary 'ship lost in space' sort of thing. It right away says "this is a whole new breed of space ship". Nobody is used to seeing a space ship that is actually supposed to fly INTO…
Netflix only charges $5 a month to get access to their online library AND you get DVD 'rental' at the same time. I see absolutely no need to pay ANOTHER $10 a month to a different service since we already have Netflix, and I can just as easily utilize Hulu through my laptop and an RGB connection to the HDTV for FREE.
@im.thatoneguy3: It's OK, I liked the 3rd one too, if only for the story. The screwed it all up by splitting 2 and 3 into separate films. If they had kept them as one film, trimmed out some of the unnecessary action, and tightened up the dialog/exposition, then it would've made a GREAT duology. They tried to…
@Rejexted: It's never too late! So long as you don't get hung up on the older graphics, the game play is just as solid as anything else on the market. Same goes for WC3 and SC as well. You owe yourself to experience these games at least once just to see how they shaped the game industry. Not having at least tried…
Ahhh, many great memories in the college apartment with my roommate, whittling away the wee hours of the night, while hacking and blasting our way through level after level. The addition of the online multi-player and the option to increase the difficulty level so you'd get more EXP and better drops was so awesome. …
@kobeashi: 100% agree with you here. We use Hulu on my laptop with an RGB cable into the HDTV to watch some shows, but I'm constantly disappointed when I go to look a show up, and all they have are commercial clips or some such, and not the full episode. It is CERTAINLY not worth $10 a month.
@Reicheru: 100% agree with you here. Most people don't realize what good costumes cost to make. $4000 is actually way less than I would have expected for something like this. Most of the GOOD Darth Vaders or Boba/Jango Fetts that you'll see at conventions and such also cost upwards of $4000-$5000 many times. Some…
I whole-heartedly agree. It was one of the first things I was disappointed about with the Wii. I don't remember which game it was, but I remember thinking the button mapping as designed for the game was completely unintuitive and made the game very difficult to play. I think a simple flip of the A and B button…
@curly haired boy: See, I loved the suspenseful nature of DS1. It's what made it so different from a lot of other Survival Horror titles. I don't mind them scaling it back a bit, but I hope they don't back off too much. Can't wait for this one.
@Nivenus: Have you read the Gears novels? I think Bernie Mataki in the GOW books is a pretty strong female character in a very male dominated story. Anya has really started to stand out a bit too in Jacinto's Remnant.
@blackestwizard: I would SO buy the collector's edition if it came with this. Hilarious.
