Hasn’t played the game.

I have been seeing and hearing the jaded impressions of people whose lives literally revolve around playing video games and thinking, “Are we playing the same game?”

Pointing at something that you’re consuming secondhand through others’ reviews and notes and saying, “how disappointing an experience that was” is not ‘criticizing’ it, it’s regurgitating the views of others w/ no context for your position.

I actually get the distinct opposite impression. I think that the “sprint to the center of the galaxy” is only there because people kept asking “What’s the point/objective of the game?” where the developers just wanted to make a game where you could explore planets.

I’d say his second play through is much closer to what the game is actually designed for, frankly. The game doesn’t ever push you to “sprint to the center of the galaxy.”

It’s truly sad that you’re labeling a game you haven’t played as disappointing. Why don’t you open the box and form your own opinion, you asshat?

Developer:

“If this game doesn’t contain the exact thing I saw precisely once, in a trailer made 3 years ago, I’m going to be so upset!”

I love how everyone just want everything all at once. The game has been out for 2 fucking days! Chill the fuck out.

Everything I know about Armenia, I learned from my freshman year college roommate and his friends. I assume Karapetyan’s body broke down after going more than five minutes without a cigarette.

One of the more horrific abominations I’ve encountered. I left that planet immediately and marked it for mass extermination via orbital bombardment...I had to be sure.

jesus, what version of pokémon is this

Indeed. With all the shit you can taunt Hope Solo with (and there’s plenty) they picked the one thing that actually reflects poorly on them.

Haha you want to maybe have a kid someday and not risk the chance of a horrible defect happening what a loser everyone boo this person.

Exactly. This is how the game was meant to be played... if not being literally pointed right to the location of each Pokemon ruins it for you, maybe you should try something else.

Total failure?
Pokemon Go has 20,000,000 DAU (Daily Active Users)
Pokevision.com has 470,955 daily users.
2% of PoGo users used Pokevision.

The lack of tracking does not take away from the game at all. Tracking was always purposely vague to make you wander around and explore.

While I think there are certainly problems that need to be addressed, certainly before I put anymore money into the game, I think people are overreacting. And those people are a small but very vocal minority.

Anything online with a comments section will look like a “massive failure”. Nerds are loud online, but quiet otherwise.

If anything, removing the step thing (which honestly I never used... nor gave any thought to other than seeing people go on about it being broken... makes it a bit more true to the actual base game being a truly random chance game.

Oh NO! People actually have to go out and enjoy what is supposed to be a random chance game. Whatever shall we do?
