This is going to be huge in the commercial space. Think about this type of tech in the realm of advertising. The last time I saw this was as an ad for soft drinks/door for the fridge for the drinks. While the fridge was closed the screen was showing an ad for whatever you touched (yes they have Trasparent LCD touch as

You sure you want that NOTS? Think about the sewer crawling scene from Shawshank Redemption....

That is pretty badass. It makes me wish I was smarter.

The Ambilight was available in the US for two years. It had very poor sales, though mostly because Philips TVs had quite an awful picture and very bizarre non VESA compliant mounting standards. The ambilight feature was pretty cool though.

The 120/240 processing is not bad for Blu Ray/DVD content either. Basically anything with 24 FPS framerate should look good with the higher refresh as it more closely matches the source material. You have to make sure to tone the processing down though. MotionFlow on high is just not a good thing, no matter the source.

Grrr...infinite contrast ratio. Here's how they get infinite contrast measurements. Measure TV when the entire set is entirely white at highest brightness, then POWER OFF THE TV and measure the black level. Black = 0 White = what ever number, divide by zero = infinite (according to them). Contrast ratio is a crap

I'm not a golf watching type but if you want a 3D ready sport that will be enhanced by 3D, it's golf. I got to see some golf in 3D on Runcos big boy 3D projector and I it was mind blowing. Even in HD you really don't get a feel for the contours of the green and the challenges the player is experiencing. 3D fixes that

Yeah OLED has plasma/CRT level ability in the realm of picture quality with the thinness to boot. In my mind it's the true successor to Plasma in that it's a newer technology that has the novel ability to actually improve form and function. we had the Sony OLED on display in my store a few years back and I can say

Sharp has been trying things like this for years with limited success. I say no Takei = No way

Response: Unwarranted rage for video game reference I perceive to be overused!

Joe should be forced to wear the Wookie Hoodie the whole time in an effort to show the tech community at large the folly of poor decision making in relation to alcohol consumption. I hear there's a bit of alcohol in Vegas...

I tend to disagree with that characterization of the Clark/Superman relationship. One of the best Superman comics (All Star Superman) had the Clark Kent/Superman thing completely the other way CK was most certainly the disguise in that version of Supes. I find that the better writers will write this way as well. It's

Thanks for this. These guys are great! Quickly, to the Spotify Wagon!

It could always be sentient rotisserie chicken. Mmmmm...roaster planet.

It looks like an expanded version of this. Though I doubt it will compare to BMBs writing. Still, I'm in already. You had me at baseball in the face. Hurr..Image fail. Here:

I do believe that "jangling the neurons" should be the standard by which we express human arousal from this point forward.

Or this.

They did something similar last year too, but likely not in such a large way, I had a copy of Wii Metroid Prime Collection ordered and I got all the info for it, until they cancelled it right before Christmas. Granted it was for me, so I wasn't that disappointed. Still, it's amazing that they didn't learn from some

Why did you have to post this after I moved my cube directly in front of my boss? I'm supposed to be working!
