The eyefinity card is actually a badass little card. I build video walls for a living and it's a surprisingly versatile card for this application. I use it in favor of video wall processors from time to time and it handles it flawlessly.
Let's not forget about the brightness issue. No projector out there can hold a candle to a good high brightness large format display (it's not a TV) in daylight or bright light conditions.
Let's get science to make that happen ASAP.
