While not directly answering your question, the 4C seems to be inspired by the Lotus Exige, not the Miata. The Exige is a much rawer experience than a Miata. I kept my Miata for a few months after buying my Lotus Elise, and whenever I drove it, it felt like I was driving a truck compared to the Lotus.

The 4C is closer to the Exige than the Elise.

Wow! That was good timing! I was close to buying a set of ATH-M50s for my wife. Americans need to get off their fixation with V8s. Engine technology has come a long way since your daddy's 1970s V8 truck. A 600hp V6 is quite adequate and will be lighter.
