Suuuuch cute pictures of the Obamas! I hope I find something so lovely (the relationship, not her dress, but that too).

Is there anything this girl can't do? She's perfectly lovely.

Teehee! Your popcorn-grab was so Jon Stewart. :)

I hide everyone from my newsfeed. Everyone. They're not even that bad, compared to what I've seen posted elsewhere, but I just don't like to constantly know what people are thinking - I use FB more like an "addressbook with messaging ability".

It's a nice letter. But the things it's making me feel are as follows:

There are so many things I'd do if they were cheaper (honestly, the pain factor isn't too much of a concern for me, having been there, done that). The fact is, though, there'll always be something else we'd want to change. If you start tweaking one thing, everything else starts to look slightly different - so you

I totally just spent the entire time since I wrote that comment writing another one about the ethics of westernisation in plastic surgery.

The primary cause for concern with these photos is that they're demonstrating a trend for westernised features. In other words: Why should white, western ideas of perfection be considered global ideals? We've heard about this for a long time, now - women in Asian countries are getting surgery to make their eyes look

Thanks, you too! According to my "sleep cycle" app, I slept at 100% quality - that's a first! (I maintain it's a lie because I woke up coughing at one point, and I dreamed about dead things with maggots in their eyes). It's a great little app, though - it senses your movements as you sleep and wakes you gently when

Separated and reattached into a slightly different position; not cut out entirely. But extremely painful, yes... I was glad of the meds.

Oh, you'd probably be surprised by me on FB: I post virtually nothing personal, political or remotely controversial. Almost no photos. Maybe one or two statuses a year. Sometimes I'll post an interesting video or article, but it's a couple a month - the rest of the time I'll just be posting the occasional comment on

"Fox New"? #corrections

+1

You can, but I hear it's extremely painful and has a very high risk of infection. Also, if you look at a lot of before and after pictures, you might notice that sometimes the results look wrong, as if the facial features don't fit right anymore. I have so many aspects to my appearance that I'd love to change if I

Any time! :) Thanks for listening!

AGREED. I think I'd be happier without it, but would I still be me?! It's a very helpful ability, at times... hopefully we'll learn how to use it for good instead of using it against ourselves.

Ditto - I have a really strong memory and a really strong association memory, so I find myself making connections even when I don't want to. But although I sometimes manage to conquer those things during the day, my subconscious often sabotages my efforts, which can put me off-kilter for a whole day (or more).

That's exactly my concern. It comes across as a dare, in fact.

HAHA! I enjoy the surrealism of that unnecessary "at" in there.

The manifestation of this disease in women is "severe nausea, blinding headaches, rage, dizziness, panic attacks, and an overwhelming urge to jump into the Mariana Trench".
