I know - if she was this wonderful person that the hobbit did this crazy stuff for, I would expect her to want him to make reparation or feel terrible that he compromised his principles and put people at risk. It's like DelToro wants every person but our protagonists to be crappy and self-involved.

No - I was pissed off at his level of stupidity as well. When tentacle-faced monsters are attacking the cab you are in, you don't step outside to face off with them, gun in hand or not. It would have made more sense to show the cabbie take off and leave the husband stranded there.

I fully agree with your comment. I think Daryl had the potential for love and intimacy beaten out of him as a child, and it's just now, with the forming of his post-apocalyptic family, that it's starting to come back. I don't really care what the showrunners do with his sexual orientation - just as long as they write

I can see you - but I opened the pending comments.

I want my Mr. Fusion.

I think if we can get another Hellboy movie, we will have achieved comic book perfection. I was really looking forward to Hellboy II and still was shocked at how good it was, and how it even upped the game (and expanded the universe) of the first movie.

OMG and blarg. This movie freaks me the hell out - I think DB Sweeney really sold his terror during those experimentation scenes. If my husband starts watching this movie on cable I just leave the room. The idea of being a completely helpless medical experiment is a nightmare.

Like a glorious trainwreck. "Springtime for Hitler" from The Producers.

CRAAAP. One of my favorite activities is to jump on TWOP after a tv show and read the forums. I discovered the site back in the Buffy days, and visit it several times a week. What a shame. Now where am I going to get the snark on these shows?

Fauxcused - I appreciate hearing that - and I'm sure many women would.

I wish I could give you a million stars for this. And that the Walking Dead production crew would take note.

I thought maybe they were making that statement based on the length of the new film, but Daliás idők is 79 minutes.

I would so love to see a mini-series based on this book. And then if all goes well, another one for the sequel.

Dammit Jim! Don't forget Bones...

Maybe, but I remember the Chuck Jones era with The Rabbit of Seville, What's Opera Doc, etc. Genius! I vote that as the golden age of cartoons.

YES. Thank you - I was just thinking of Surface. It was a fantastic premise, and I was so seriously pissed that the network cancelled it with that cliffhanger ending.

Pan's Labyrinth - Whether it's tragic it depends on if Ofelia was actually Princess Moanna, or it was just her fantasy.

I know - and Alan Rickman totally sold it. So much of his life was just trying to make up for Lily's death.

I'm a fan of Avengers/Star Trek/Walking Dead (as is my husband) and we made a point of seeing The World's End on opening night. LOVED IT. Been looking forward to it all summer. Maybe there were just too many hero/scifi movies that opened before it in 2013? We've never spent so much on movies as we did this year.

I have one of those too. Drinking (erasing) my last conversation with her right now.
