I hate to speculate, but I'm going to anyway.

I’d rather wait at the carousel at the end of my flight where I can stretch my legs, go to the bathroom, etc., than have to sit in my already uncomfortable airline seat for 15 minutes and potentially miss a connecting flight because a bunch of dipshits over packed their carry on bags and stuffed them in compartments…
With all of the aggravations that come with flying nowadays people seem somewhat less charitable by the time they get through all the bullshit and are finally seated. Not always, but it’s definitely not the same as it was pre 9/11.
I agree completely. The one big drawback with southwest, especially if you’re flying with young kids, is the cattle call boarding process. Getting seats together can be a nightmare on crowded flights if you’re in the last boarding group. I like knowing that we’re all sitting together so we can both keep the kids calm…
But that doesn’t cost the airlines anything and that’s only at the end of what may be a couple of connecting flights. The less time planes spend at the gates the more money the airlines make on those planes.
Those same business travelers are also the least price sensitive when it comes to fees. If they need to get in and out of somewhere quickly they’ll pay not to have to check their bags.
I had the nissen fundaplication surgery 5 years ago and it changed my life after 20 years of dealing with GERD. The surgery more or less makes the sphincter a one way valve. Burping is now difficult so I had to completely stop drinking carbonated drinks but its a small price to pay. I’ve been symptom free since the…
Not that I’m a fan of TSA security theater, but the ever escalating checked baggage fees from the airlines certainly aren’t helping. Charging for carry on and making checked bags free would speed things up immensely. It would also speed up the load and unload times at the gates.
My first thought, after “holy shit, that’s cool,” was “wow, was he able to get homeowners insurance?” I have officially reached the lamest stage of adulthood.
They are now divorced. The wife has moved abroad and the husband has lost his law license because of the conviction. So they get to screw her again because she will never be able to collect on the judgement. You wonder how horrible people like that find each other.
I am fascinated by this story. How did you meet this person in the first place? Were there any indications of emotional problems or other issues?
Flint’s water infrastructure is very old and contains lead pipe in addition to ductile and cast iron pipe. The lead got into the system by leaching from the lead pipes. http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Society/20…
Most cat litter sold today is the clumping clay kind and will turn to baby shit when it gets wet. I wouldn’t even bother with it. If you can’t get salt, you’re better off with sand.
A concrete contractor talked my grandparents into something like this for their driveway 40 years ago. Basically running a current through the wire mesh reinforcing. The concrete did not take kindly to rapid heating and cooling and disintegrated with 5 years. It was a pretty crude design and I know technology has come…
My sister has been using a Transit connect as a mini camper for a couple of years and has nothing but good things to say about (she’s also tiny, so that probably makes a big difference). I have seen a lot of late model Ram vans that are rusted to shit though. I don’t know if it was a paint defect in one model year or…
Have you moved since buying the ikea furniture? In my experience that always seems to do ikea furniture in.
I can’t watch that show because they always have to have a shot of him shoveling the establishment’s signature dish in his face with bare hands as the poor proprietor is cooking it, in the kitchen. It’s so fucking gross. I think that's one of the many reasons professional chefs don't like him. You don't graze in the…
Came here to say the same thing. Looks like an 80’s vision of future cars in the 90’s.
Offering a cab does not absolve you from legal responsibility if they’ve been over served. That’s been the law in PA for at least 20 years now. The Pittsburgh Hoffbrauhaus paid out $15.6 million in 2013 to the family of a girl that was killed by a drunk patron from their restaurant. One of the bouncers tried to take…
In PA at least, it doesn’t matter if you know they’re driving or not. If they walk out the door drunk and step in front of a bus, the server can be held responsible.
