I've lived in the US for 40 years. I have never seen a "military party" like this. Just like there are no Pol Pot parties or Rawandan genocide parties. It's in poor taste no matter where you're from.

To take my point a bit further, a lot more people think that not having to drive to work or own a car at all is a plus and is a big factor in deciding what job to take. Obviously that doesn't work for everyone, but until recently I think most college grads took it for granted that they would have to get a car in

I don't think I agree with your assertion that younger consumers aren't buying cars solely because they're so far in debt. I think that's part of the issue, but it also seems like cars aren't the status symbol for people 25 and younger that they once were. For years popular culture pushed idea that if you don't have

I think you're overstating the importance of the dealers in the process. A lot of people don't realize that dealers aren't really necessary for financing, titling, and so forth because dealers have convinced people they're a necessary part of the process. I've purchased two cars out of state in the last year with

True that. I went to Pitt with lots of Philadelphia area (none of them actually lived in the city) d bags that were proud of that. The only reason to go to the vet was to get shit faced and fight. No thanks.

The first thing that struck me about that ESPN article was how obvious it was that if not Johnny himself, his immediate family was certainly making money from churning out his signed memorabilia. The second was that his parents didn't seem to be the best role models and clearly don't have his best interests in mind.

Chaps are "assless" by definition. If they aren't asseless they're called pants.

It looks like a work truck, most likely yellow/orange strobes. They're pretty common on road construction vehicles.

Amen on the mayo scanner. That's genius. I would happily pay 3 bucks to never have to see mayo again.

They are but stainless unlike aluminum is non-reactive and very durable, which to me makes it a better choice for general use. Having said that the trade off is that stainless isn't a great conductor so you have to spend a little more for pans with an aluminum or copper core.

Different materials are suited to different types of cooking and they each come with their own limitations. I would recommend one 10" or 12" cast iron pan from Lodge. They're cheap, last forever, and good for high heat cooking. I use mine on the stove, the grill, and the oven. I have a set of moderately priced

Bon ami also works very well and is a little more environmentally friendly.

Gun nuts sure are a sensitive bunch.

Her feelings about the kids and feeling overwhelmed are completely understandable. The issue is no matter how her kids turn out, her blog posts about their issues are probably going to follow them forever and they don't have any say in the matter. That's pretty irresponsible as a parent and tempers my sympathy for her

The owners deserve their fair share of criticism, and he does work for the owners, but a big part of that job is to convince them to do things that they might not like but are in the best interest of the league. Tagliabue knew how to do it, Rozelle knew how to do it. Goodell isn't up to the job.

Yeah!?

Or its just because Steve Jobs was a giant asshole. What happened was just business. If you have a monumentally successful product, other companies are going to try and cash in. If he was as much of a genius as the fan boys give him credit for he should have seen it coming.

Beavers are a hell of a lot bigger than that.
