Not sure how that would make a difference because the other controller wasn't charged and worked. But I suppose it's worth trying.

Is it completely charged? No not completely but it's plugged in and the light is on it just stops working for whatever reason. I used my brother's Ps4 controller on my system and it worked fine, I just don't understand why it's messed up out of the box.

I tried it out and it works except for the ps button, and my R2 button doesn't work at all so something is definitively wrong.

I don't know it works fine for the most part, then I press X to do something and it stops working the only button that works is the PS button and I can't even turn it off unless I press the power button on the console. It's really weird.
