Blagh, I remember liking Megatokyo about ... ten years ago, maybe? Has it been that long? Anyway,bBack then it was somewhat interesting (I was still in my Love Hina phase) but it got really bad really fast for some reason.

But don't you know that everything is a ripoff of Japanese shows? I mean, ninjas didn't even exist before Naruto!
The save backup feature on the 3DS is only available for certain games. It won't work for Animal Crossing, for example.
Yawn. How juvenile. Perhaps you should be locked up.
I'd take his word over yours, considering he's not out of his mind.
Keep holding on to that facile view of the world there. I'll be over here, in reality.
Context is important. It's the difference between saying "I'm going to beat you," at a child and saying the same thing to a child while playing him in Street Fighter. If you can't understand that I'm afraid you just want to hold on to your facile interpretation of things.
Nobody said it was okay.
He never made a threat. He didn't go up to anyone and say he was going to shoot up a school. He made a joke (albeit one in poor taste) in a CLOSED CIRCLE OF FRIENDS that eventually got publicized. By all means, investigate it. But he made no threats and he broke no laws. All you can accuse him of is stupidity.
Wrong.
Tycho wrote the perfect counter to your ridiculous strawman:
Of course. they should have looked into it and I'm happy they did. That's where it should leave stopped, with a police visit and a stern "son, don't do that again." This has nothing to do with any boys club or anything, and everything to do with how people are now trying to find a scapegoat for the feelings they have…
I don't think ANYBODY said the kid should get off without consequence.
Consequences are a natural part of doing something people may not agree with. But there is a line between consequence and disproportionate action.
Boundaries are different for every person. You can't know, and when things go sour, I'm going to guess that many of you didn't really mean it. Why risk it?
There is intentional and unintentional racism. I am 100% sure this falls into the latter (even if it is), but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be addressed. Most people don't see the difference, but it is always there and the handling should be different.
Well, it could be an unintentional gaffe. Like that one newsanchor I think who thought "Chinaman" was the Chinese equivalent of "Frenchman" and didn't know it was a racial slur, and apologized upon finding out. Sometimes people just need this stuff pointed out so they don't do it in the future.
I find some of the "It's lucky that the people who died were Chinese and not Koreans" business to be much more appalling, personally.
"Super aggressive"? Wow.
If you say so, ace. You're the one acting like a condescending ass here.
