I was 8 (!) when Bill became President. I feel so fortunate to have had both my amazingly hardworking mom and Hillary Clinton to look up to from ages 8-16. So many of my opinions and beliefs about a woman’s place in the world are because of those two.

Put aside an hour or so and watch both her speech, and Chelsea’s introduction. They were both so great.

I am so happy. And so excited. That was phenomenal.

I’ve been reading/posting on Jez for at least 5-6 years. I would LOVE to be a paid shill - she’s a candidate I believe in, and I need the money. But thank you for being the first person to ever accuse me! Working on my bucket list.

Hiring DWS probably does a couple of things:

I’m not blaming Bernie for Hillary’s bad rap. I’m blaming Bernie for exacerbating the bad rap and then broadcasting it to people who were in a position to vote for the first time.

Being a progressive means you hate Hillary? That’s news to me. I thought being progressive means fighting for progressive issues, not creating a purity test of which of those issues are necessary to be considered progressive.

Not surprised. These people, many of whom are first time voters because of age or previous indifference, were told that Hillary (and not Trump) was the enemy for nearly a year. I’m not sure “Hating Hillary” is considered an ideal. She has moved left on a number of issues, and they just accused her of coopting his message...

Oh, totally. But I was under the impression that Denver specifically was something of a liberal enclave. And if he was running as a Republican in a liberal district, I can’t imagine he’d get too far with an ultra-conservative platform.
