Absolutely! Though it's probably not just European. My parents' cooking was always extremely Midwestern even though we were in California...if it didn't have potatoes and the creamy trio you mentioned, it probably wasn't cooked.

I was very skinny as a kid, and naturally underweight to the point that my pediatrician "prescribed" whole milk and similar products to help with weight gain. I wasn't permitted to eat light or skim anything, and my mother's cooking was always very rich and full-flavored. These days, I'm much more conscientious of…
Right? He owns/co-owns a winery down in Los Alamos, a blip on the highway stretch between SLO and Santa Barbara. My buddy lives in town, and will often go over to the tasting room for some local wine, and it sounds like Emilio is there on the regular. I would welcome all kinds of scorn if that meant I was retiring and…
So strange. I was single from 21 to 24 in SF, and had a blast with the dating scene. Tons of attractive, friendly, smart people, and a big enough dating pool to avoid too much overlap. Of course, I met my husband at a bar in the city, so I'm a bit biased.
Ha, yes! And, of course, this:
Y'all are acting like this is the first time she's repped bball:
I actually have a supreme fondness for cheesy B horror flicks, so I'm not sure why S1 bothered me so much.
This is terrible, but it's unfortunately very common and anyone who has had someone they love die has probably experienced it to some degree. My dad passed away almost seven years ago, and my poor mother is STILL getting harassed by companies regarding old accounts. The worst are the telemarketers who are told bluntly…
Somewhat related question: I tried watching the first season of AHS and as I'm a big scaredy-cat, I couldn't get past the third episode. This season looks REALLY interesting/great/fun - is it a little less nightmare-inducing?
She was also the cheerleader in Drop Dead Gorgeous, one of the underappreciated gems of the late 90s.
Oh, I see. You're just picking a fight. I didn't realize by comparing two similar styles that that would be misconstrued as racism. As I said originally, "I loved the look then and I love the look now. So chic and elegant."
Oh please what? The dresses are very similar, and I like them both. I don't see the reason for outrage.
I concur, and I think the cape makes it just a little too reminiscent of Gwyneth's Tom Ford number from the Oscars last (?) year to be considered original or groundbreaking. That being said, I loved the look then and I love the look now. So chic and elegant.

I'm not sure, I'd have to ask. Sorry!
Mr. Scarves and I will have been together 5 year this coming June, and we got married this past fall. We're both teetering around 30, have a dog, and are planning to start trying for children this summer. It's scary since we're still somewhat in limbo re: finances, but we both want a bull pen of kids, and it's…
My brother found himself on Lulu after a female friend mentioned to him he was listed. Because it's all hooked up to Facebook, he figured out who the girls were that had listed him and contacted them. They were so embarrassed at being "found out" that they pulled down their comments. He has since requested to opt out.
That's what I figured. I've been to plenty of weddings where the bridesmaids are married, and in the case that it's the maid of honor, I've seen her referred to as the Matron of Honor.
As a married woman who will be a bridesmaid this summer, may I ask why?
No need to be sad! Sometimes the husband is gone and a girl wants to eat and watch crap. :)
