Yes. This is what all the advice columns tell you to do. Set and enforce your boundaries.
After reading the Variety article there doesn’t seem to be any comment from Adam Driver or his publicist about the ‘incident’ so we don’t even know if the clip thing is why he walked out. If it is, the only side of the story we get is from NPR which, cool.
Nope. He set clear boundaries, has reiterated them over and over AND OVVVVVVER. He said he doesn’t like it. He said he doesn’t want it. That is not being a fucking diva.
It was a really complicated shit show of a situation.
Thank you for this, I have spent all morning looking for a website to tell me who won last night’s game.
So Deadspin’s fucked thanks to Jimmy’s inability to run a successful business. Deadspin has now had all its comments turned off and several staffers have very publicly quit after the firing yesterday.
Want to know how they could’ve done this differently and not created a PR disaster that’ll follow them into their convention?
The “correct” response was a slap on the wrist saying, “not the time or the place for protest” and moving on instead of the draconian banning, elimination of the two broadcasters, and further banning of subsequent teams that decided to stand with Blitzchung and Hong Kong.
This wouldn’t be half as controversial if Blizzard hadn’t unequivocally bowed to the Communist party in its Chinese-language announcement. Translated:
This was a big reason I quit playing WoW after 3 months back in the day and went back to City of Heroes. CoH’s sidekick system meant that I’d always be able to play with my friends on any character, regardless of level, and be able to contribute to the missions we were running.

While it is without question that Pats are benefiting from playing weak opponents, it doesn’t really change how fantastic that defense has looked. Just the stuff and tricks they are pulling off on the field is astonishing to watch and while I expect them to give a lot more point against tougher offenses, it will still…
This kind of shit just makes me think of when the smoking ban in bars went into effect. Suddenly, a lot of us smokers were forced to go outside on the patio and interact with other smokers we weren’t normally friends with or were really just bar friends. So I found myself surrounded by some right wingers from time to…
Ugh, too soon. Take your stupid star, and also this VHS copy of highlights from the 1992 Dallas Cowboys’ thrilling march to the Super Bowl.
“...they fear that one of the groups (“Thanos-like”) will be given pink slips, with the other told it is safe.”
“not all boomers”
Wait, is this a thing? I once had a 15-year-old boy in my summer school class who made me feel uneasy for some reason I couldn’t put my finger on, and he turned out to be a 22-year-old Ukrainian national who’d overstayed his visa and was paying some family to “adopt” him. He’s now in prison on a bunch of charges.
“Money is used to benefit people who aren’t me!”
