“Tide goes in, tide goes out”
Screw worse, it’s all worst. It’s a giant glopworst sandwich with punk ass bread.
or, you know, facts based on the testimony of the brother, but whatever floats your boat.
You’re the one that claims to be interested in the entire story. So clearly it’s only ok to cherry pick about this woman when you do it? Gotcha.
She adopted her black brother so she could then pass him off as her black child. It wasn’t altruism, it was grooming to perpetuate her ruse.
He’s getting excoriated because it was a glib justification that took away Hernandez’s agency in the situation that was his own life. When we say society failed someone, we do so because factors beyond their control take away their choices and mishandle their need for help. Hernandez had people who cared for him, and…
Considering they’re really scheduling 8 at once simply because the drugs are about to expire, I think SoCal Steve is actually selling it short. Mass death due to bureaucratic indifference seems far worse than run of the mill wanting to see people die.
That depends on whose explanation you accept. Varner has a history of ‘becoming’ a raging asshole when under pressure, so his protestations that he’s really a nice guy that made an honest mistake don’t hold up for me, especially since the why behind that mistake has changed several times since it happened.
Zeke’s been…
His shifting explanations has been what keep him firmly in the “asshole in this situation” camp for me.
If you’re not willing to believe the person it happened to, you really should consider shutting up about it. Zeke’s made it clear in dozens of interviews since the episode aired. I’ve watched and listened to several. He’s not just parroting what was told to him, his support of the way the show is handling it has been…
Zeke knew all that, accepted it, and was prepared for it. He was up front with the producers during the casting process and they worked together to prepare for it and to handle things the way Zeke wanted to the best of their ability.
For the record, unless his story has changed again, he didn’t figure it out by digging…
Which is not the same as “I’m not wild about how this is being handled” and I think that’s the mistake Rich keeps wanting to be true.
It simply means he has made the choice not to talk about it for years, so the chances of him saying something that would make it obvious, or confiding in someone after a couple of conversations are next to nonexistent.
It was a case study in all the things I’ve always disliked about Varner, with a far far far more horrific conclusion than I’d ever have imagined. The only redeeming features are how EVERYONE stuck up for Zeke, and Zeke got to handle it with as much class and aplomb as I’ve seen anyone manage on that show.
Even in HD, you’d never notice. A cosmetic breast reduction leaves as tiny scars as possible. Living together on the same beach for a few days though? Probably not that surprising if as surmised Varner knew what he was seeing.
Jeff Varner? Are you drunk?
In the EW.com column, Probst described in a fair amount of detail how Zeke had been up front with them about his status when he was being cast, and was always accepting of the possibility it could come out at any point, if someone figured out the way Varner seemed to. If CBS had been interested in outing Zeke, they…
They were only on the same tribe for 3-4 days. They connected but there were people (including other gay contestants) Zeke spent far more time with and connected with that he never told. He’s a very well spoken and careful guy, and after living with this for years, the chances of him slipping up and revealing it…
Mine too, unfortunately the internet doesn’t show my tongue planted firmly in my cheek when I posted that. haha.
