Speed and processing power on the back-end shouldn't and wont be the issue, the issue is bandwidth between the user and the cloud. MS has one of the best distributed processing clouds out there, and it's only getting bigger and more powerful.

As someone that works for a company planted "in the cloud" that also uses Azure as well, Believe me when I say that there's no "I'll believe it when I see it" because it's working RIGHT NOW.
