Where's "smug twat who repeatedly gurns at you, to see your reaction to stuff they've seen already?" Cos...well that's probably me. Also, my girlfriend is "person with worst timing ever who decides to talk/look away/go make a cuppa during a key plot point"

I wish they'd labelled the buttons "W, A , S, D" as a nod to PC gaming roots, instead of the same-old consoley XYAB (yes I know WASD is used for movement not triggers, but I'm talking about an homage not 1:1 representation).

Yep, so time to maybe starting giving game publishers like Ubisoft, Activision and EA some shit instead of Nintendo? Because they can't be responsible for all the games.

Am I the only one who thinks the lead character looks like an utter cock in that hat?

It's not a matter of memory. It's a matter of principle. An arbitrary application at run-time I didn't ask for is the equivalent of EA taking a big steamy piss on my computer and marking it as their territory. I have an AV running, Steam (if I'm playing a game), and that's it. People who've grown up playing PC games

I'm the same. EA are on my no-buy list, which started after they did some weird shit with the Mass Effect 2 dlc. Ubisoft too, when it's a Uplay game and MS when it's a GFWL one (thankfully there won't be any more of those, but there are still some legacy ones).

Most people's issue with Origin, like Uplay, is being forced to use it even if the game is on Steam. There's nothing wrong with Origin and Uplay existing, it's forcing those to use it who got the game via a different service that's the problem. If you buy the game on Steam (as most people are want to do), you have to

It's not idiotic. There's nothing wrong with people having principles affecting their purchases. Having that principle, then getting it anyway because 'that game looks cool' would be idiotic, though.

It's still money for EA either way, unfortunately. Probably more for the console version and Microsoft get some too. That's...yeah that's not much better, tbh.

Uh-huh...

Ah, octopus wiring! If there are any Japanese studying English reading this, know that 'octopus wiring' comes up freuqently in day-to-day English life and is ESSENTIAL.

I agree!

Well, I'm not even sure what you pay for Live all goes to the network fund. I'd bet it's far more of a grey area than that. I'd be very surprised if even 50% of Live's revenue goes back into Live. I agree the ad revenue probably won't be spent on Live, but the fact that they feel the need to squeeze more money out of

Well, perhaps I'm spoiled. As someone from the UK, we have the BBC. Which is ad-free television because we pay a tv-license for it. So, no I don't have to 'get used to it', I just don't use that particular service if I feel like I'm getting a raw deal.

ads in a store make sense. You're there to shop. If these ads are on the dash, that's just stupid.

I'm not an Xboxer, but shouldn't paying for Live preclude you from having to put up with ads?

Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, FFIX, Ni No Kuni, Xenoblade Chronicles.

He-Man comes with a magical sword, Barbie comes with a hairbrush..

You never heard "eat your vegetables, so you can grow up big and strong like He-Man?" My mum said it, and I'm sure lots of parents said it. It's a throw-a-way line, but it's something that clearly has an effect on boys, because at some point you want to be like He-Man. However, it's not a 'body-issue'. That's reading

How on earth are supermodels not supposed to be aspirations of body-type?
