I'm actually am assigned to a Tomahawk command right now. (And was part of a Strategic Policy Research Group that focused on strategic weapons). We do not have any more TLAM-A's in the inventory. TLAM-A's were considered a strategic weapon and not a tactical weapon by the way.

Alixana, I've played all three...so I hope these answers help.

Actually, my 2000 warhead number includes all strategic weapons which include all ICBMs, SLBMs (submarine), and air launched cruise missiles.

Whoaa there. The U.S. is down to under 2000 deployable thermonuclear warheads and Russia is fairly close to that number. All the other nuclear countries combined have less than 1000. And these are fairly small bombs...mostly in the 480 kt range.

I went to early afternoon show with my wife and two boys. Considering all negative press, I kind of just meandered in right before the show. Holy cow! the place was packed. The only 4 seats we could find together were in the second row from the front.

I think it's awesome that he's using a lightpen and drawing on the computer at 73. You have to really expect an artist...that is already a master in his/her field...that is willing to keep evolving. Bravo Moebius, you'll be missed.

I'm pretty sure that was done on purpose.

There's a bunch of open source hacks that allow you to play the game on Win 7. I won't lie, it does take a bit of effort though.

There was a S-3 pilot in my airwing with the call sign "Worm".

actually it's a misconception that kittinger broke the sound barrier. Kittinger himself has stated that he only achieved 614 mph and 9/10 the speed of sound. There is a good article on aero web that explains where the mixup occurred and has some math to support its claims. [www.aerospaceweb.org]

Most sci-fi gets so much of the military stuff so wrong, that it's hard to read / watch. The book could be really engrossing, but then it will have some outrageous scene that snaps me out of the zone.

I love Zubrin's statement that "it doesn't make sense to enter one gravity well on the way to another gravity well". I was skeptical of Zubrin's arguement, as I had always liked von Braun's stepping stone approach. But his book kind of won me over.

The problem is with the thousands of Americans that don't read this site that would love such a job. I doubt the Gizmodo audience is the people that Apple wants.

As a 15 year military (Navy) officer, I have to put in my two cents. By the way, for those who don't know, the Marine Corps is part of the Department of the Navy. So, when I was at the Academy, I had a choice to go Navy or USMC. All of my elective summer training courses were USMC, so I some...if only a

Do both!

We fly into Whiteman AFB (home of the B-2's) sometimes on the way to NAS Fallon. These planes are REALLY hard to see edge on. I've been in the landing pattern when the tower has said that I'm number 2 to land behind a B-2. I swear most of the time I don't even see them until they bank to turn. Amazing that a plane

The Founding Fathers were extremely worried about a populist tyrant grabbing control of the country...despite all other checks and balances.

You know, I never thought about how there were no swear on any radio footage. These guys were mostly military pilots. Hell, in my squadrons people put in swear words in just about every sentence. Seriously, a lot of people (myself included) start swear jars around the last 2 weeks of deployments just so we can be

No, if the journalist finds wrong doings that are illegal...then absolutely it should be published. But I would expect the journalist to weed out the illegal from the merely embarassing. And I would expect them to do research and find out the context of the decisions and actions. There's not reason to do embarass

I don't know about Thor. I am going to agree with others on the thread and state that Xmen:FC was better. Michael Fassbender was awesome...I couldn't believe how much emotion he put into a comic book character. And the ending...I was absolutely cheering for him when he...
