Actually, I believe that the skin tight outfits arose from early superhero designs being modelled after what old timey circus strongmen wore. It wasn't necessarily artists just being lazy.

I wouldn't expect a journalist to protect the U.S.'s image. I would expect them to protect its iterests...especially if lives are on the line. Manning did not do that.

I would expect a journalist to be responsible and carefully separate the embarrassing information from the info that would cause harm to U.S. interests. I would then expect the journalist to do more research and find out the issues surrounding the decisions mentioned in the leaked info.

I won't find out the details, because the contract I wrote when I received my security clearances clearly states that I will not access information that I am not cleared to. (And my security manager keeps spamming my email with that same clause...just in case we forgot)

Doubtful that it was shot down. Even non-stealthy drones are pretty hard to shoot down. More likely it crashed. Also, it is doubtful that Iran even has possession of it since they have not shown any pictures. Iran is usually really happy to show pics.
