The English footballing problem has less to do with the players that they have and more to do with the fact that coaches are expected to succeed instantly with a certain style while given next to no training camp time with players that play under widely disparate club systems coached by a variety of international

Jack Wilshere: "If I went to Spain and lived there for five years I am not going to play for Spain."

Wow, another example of you truly believing that "hot" is a concrete, definitive thing. Expand your mind, bro. Not everyone thinks like you. Shocking, I know!

So we WERE this )( close to an actual in-game firing?! Who has sympathy for Kiffin, when WE were robbed?

"There wasnt nothing to it"?

Forgive me, but I prefer to hate Dallas Morning News Skip.

The Skip who took it upon himself to vilify Tom Landry in both books and on the radio in the early 90's. The Bayless who could question Troy Aikman's sexuality and yet never offer proof of his allegations except for his desire to out the person. To this day,

Yeah, but nobody would come to watch. College football will be where the money is for the foreseeable future.

Agree. I wouldn't put PTI in the same category. I don't think Wilbon and Kornheiser are right all the time or even thoughtful about everything they say. However, I think they believe what they say and aren't just spewing BS to get a rise out of people.

Wow, football was more dangerous than I ever thought possible. A player notorious for avoiding any and all contact wherever it was possible to still do his job (and even a few situations when it wasn't) has head trauma from playing.

Fox Sports World/Soccer Channel will always occupy a fond place in my sporting heart for two things:

You're forgetting that Wynalda is front and center on the FS1 and FS2 coverage of UEFA.

I just have to say that Being: Liverpool was an awesome series that I would love to see continued one day. My hope was that they would cover a new BPL team every season, but even sticking with Liverpool would of been great.

very true. i'm a huge soccer fan, but really found it hard to watch as much of FSC as I did when they had more than just the Champions league and obscure games. fully understand the move tho, and in the end it puts a lot more soccer on basic cable.

It was still good to watch. Also liked that they showed SSN twice a day.

they didn't need to show it 20 times a day, i am pretty sure the same show/staff is now on Fox Sports 1, and since Fox Soccer lost the MLS and EPL over the last couple years.....they will still air the same number of Champions League games on Fox Sports 1 (they've been doing this already, and it's not like American

In all seriousness it will be missed. For years it was the only channel available to Comcast viewers showing weekly top flight soccer. I really feel that it help broaden soccer's base in this country. And thankfully, NBCsports is continuing the tradition, albeit with better picture quality, announcers, promotion,
