The two areas where my credit score gets dinged is number of open accounts (not enough) and average age of accounts (too young). The awesome part is that I can't do anything about the former without adversely affecting the latter. D-U-M-B.

I like Mint just fine, but the fact that they have a separate website (Mint Bills) for bill payments/reminders is completely ridiculous.

It’s the Platonic ideal of a Golden Sombrero.

“Technically illegal but not against MLB rules” is my favorite disclaimer. See also: murder!

Right, because 3-on-3 is The Way The Game Was Meant To Be Played. Heaven forbid the NHL actually does anything to appeal to anyone outside their existing audience.

And yet World Cups have been decided by penalty kicks without anyone dying.

Can’t wait until the real hockey fans get their way and we don’t have to watch stuff like that anymore.

Presented without comment because GOD DAMN IT.

This looks awfully familiar...

I'm gonna start referring to Sub Pop, Matador, etc. as "craft labels."

I commented on this elsewhere, but that was a great series. Tonally, it reminded me a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The Stephanie Brown era was/is very much underrated. It reminded me a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, actually.

Right, I just meant that the goal of the NCAA is not to turn kids into the best basketball players that they can be. It definitely happens, and frequently, but only as an indirect result of the NCAA's overall goal ($$$).

Gone Girl actually only got a nomination for Best Actress (Rosamund Pike), not Best Picture.

Yeah, and I don't disagree with your premise. The college basketball experience does benefit some players, but only incidentally if not completely accidentally.

Okay, I see your point. But you’re also assuming that Davis would’ve been drafted the prior year and would not have gone to Kentucky and led them to a national championship. And, sure, he probably would have, but you can’t assume that no great players would go to college.

Ahead of Anthony Davis? Okay.

How about if he tested the NCAA’s undergirding bullshit by attempting to coach and earn a degree at the same time?

Prior to his ACL injury, Noel was the presumptive first overall pick in the 2013 draft...

Pettine seems like he may not be the right guy for this job, in that he doesn't seem like a complete moron.
