That’s a good quote! Might have to borrow that one!

haha thanks!

Thank you!

Try anything once :-)

Actually - the car gets a ton of admiration over here because it’s different. The modern supercars and exotic cars people are used to seeing aren’t turning heads like they used to. Here’s the Caddy parked next to a common Dubai car.

It’s 57 years old, bone stock with grippy modern radial tires - a bit tricky to make them scream! I think there would have been unburnt fuel coming out the rear, she’s not very efficient!

Thank you!

Love it! :-)

Very cool! The big caddy is surprisingly easy to park. With the pencil thin C-pillars, wrap around rear glass, and tail fins that show you exactly where the car ends, it’s not that hard at all. Just have to be mindful that the tail will swing the opposite way that you turn because of the overhang!

I was actually playing with this idea for a while. I wanted to do a CNC wheel rim with the white wall as part of the rim. Did a quick mock up design but was struggling to find anyone that could manufacture it. Anyone that could do the wire wheels wasn’t familiar with CNC, and anyone familiar with CNC wasn’t familiar

It wasn’t really attention seeking - here’s the background - I also have a 2008 Mazda MX5 and was quite active with it in the Autocross group. The local forum that the autocross group is based on had open section for various other car related but not quite autocross related things going on - and I posted up pictures

Always great to see an old Ferrari being used properly! I know a lot do see track time but far too many sit in museums!

Thank you very much for the kind words! Which forum / username?

Beautiful!

An Edsel Autocrossing! Very cool! Is that sliding the rear end a touch there or just a wide line?

Very cool!!!

Well spotted :-) I’m extremely happy with how the wheels turned out. They were one of the first things I did to the car - and as far as Autocrossing it goes - the Radial 255/55-R18 tires are the only upgrade that helped it out in any way shape or form! ;-)

Cool idea - with the camera looking across from one tail fin to the other that would be a cool shot!

Race car AND support truck in one vehicle? Cost effective racing!

Very cool - didn’t know that! Today you see 59 caddy tail lights on everything - cool that was done so long ago!
