Not far from the truth!! :-) That 57 year old power steering is incredible.

I absolutely love this visual!! haha - this one gets my COTD so far :-)

Love the Lincolns too. Harley Earl was kicking Ford’s butt in his years but I have to say - the suicide door continentals are incredibly cool.

I’d always wanted a 2 door, and a convertible at that, since I was about 9 years old... but as I grew up they quickly reached unobtainable prices. One day at a classic car meet with my old Toyota FJ truck this ‘59 Cadillac pulls in, 4 doors, hard top, guy with 3 of his friends with the music blaring. Just looked so

Wow - I’m truly flattered! Absolutely love the way this is written up! Thanks Raphael - you made our night - have been reading this article and comments to my wife over dinner and loving all of it!

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the originality and the foot warmers are awesome - never seen that before. I love mine - it started life as just the V8 model rather than the V16 - the previous owner decided he didn’t want to spend a fortune reconditioning an engine that had relatively little power, so it’s now powered by an

Rolls may be building an SUV - but their sedans of the last 13 years are not exactly small. This is a Phantom next to my standard ride height 1959 Cadillac. My Cadillac has never looked so small.

If the bolts are attaching the same sub-component and have the ability to be put in the wrong holes, why not pick the stronger of the two and use it on both?

Guy in the Quattro Audi S3 was probably wondering what all the fuss was about.

That’s fine, just don’t tell Audi.

This needs to go into production! Climbing into the third row of an SUV is just undignified. Put it in production with the option of having a bench seat in either of the rear rows for a 6 seat / 7 seat / 8 seat configuration - and you’ve got a niche market all to yourself. OEM 6 door cars needs to be more of a thing.

I like the car, I just don’t like that of the 4 colours only one of them is actually a colour. Why make such a fun enthusiast car with such limited colour choices? No red or orange?

In North American spec you’re right. For the rest of the world, it comes in an insane array of options and trim levels.

Well this ruined my morning. I would have loved to see Cadillac have a premium product offering - a halo car - that rivalled Rolls Royce’s Ghost or Dawn and took the historic “Standard of the World” claim to heart. I have a 1959 and a 1929 and love the Cadillac brand. Would love to have something modern with the same

Gutting out the rear axle and fuel tank and replacing that with an independent rear suspension setup similar to the rear of a Tesla, combined with the front motor like the P85D because why not, and an engine bay full of batteries would probably work without having to re-engineer the chassis too much... Interesting

Stuff like this puts me off emigrating to the US. I’ll go back to England when I’m done with the Middle East and take my oddball cars with me.

It’s a great idea... I am toying with the idea of putting a GM 6.2L Supercharged LSA V8 from the CTS-V under the hood of my 1959 Cadillac which should see it running for the next 20 years with plenty of power. It has crossed my mind that in 20 or so years I might be pulling that out and putting something electric in

RS6 Wagon Quattro grill badge - very cool.

“At no time had the BBC producers made Westminster City Council aware that the car was going to be doing anything but drive down Whitehall. There was no discussion about wheel spins and a doughnut and permission would not have been given to do so.”
