It's simple. It wasn't a propoganda plot, it was an escape! Short statured agents who could pass as teenagers were able to infltrate the Soviet facility, set explosives and steal the prototype. But they were mangled in the crash landing near Roswell.

So when a person misses something, and someone says "it's s plain as the nose on your face" or "it's right in front of you" we can blame our visual blind spots instead of just being clueless. I like it!

Cyriaque, you're on a roll today, great Rapture coverage. I was going to say that you're on fire, but obviously that's not happening and the god-powered death beams are not carving up anything just yet. Also means you didn't fire up the jet pack for a test run. Probably a smart idea. :)

Benjamin Creme is the alien from This Island Earth! He didn't die when he crashed his saucer. Wow. I almost have to believe him if he's an alien.

English can be a confusing language with all of those synonyms and the like. Okay english symbols it is!

I'm all in favour of it. I can see a series of rings that create an artificial wormhole effect, sitting in orbit, waiting to take us to new worlds and hopefully not alien wars.

@laurenshaw: Oh iPad keyboard, you make a mockery of my typing still.

Wait, whatmif I like my steak real.y, really rare, or I bite my tongue and of crse a touch of blood mixes with my saliva and I swallow, or...

Today is just a day. It is only a Friday and only numbered at 13 because people made it that way. Were it truly unlucky we'd have a different calendar! Then we'd be confused. Then something else would be blamed for our bad luck.

The Greyjoy Kraken reminds me of reproductive organs. Always has. It's weird. Subtle reference to a certain family member? Hrm.

@Meredith Woerner: you did a great job with the clips. Anyone cranky about it needs to wqtch the clips again. And maybe again. :)

@SkippyTheMarine: There's nothing wrong with that, we're celebrating a Canadian success story, and whenever someone mentions Glee, just remember him firing a gun and being cool. That should make it easy in you. :)

SG1 was a show for fans, yes, and a great comedy. Heck, even if you did not like science fiction you could watch it for the laughs. Comedic gold! And anything to do with Wormhole Xtreme is just amazing.

@atdaysend: Sonic weapons are all the rage these days, but the theatre is not the place for it. I hope when I finally get to go on Thursday my ears don't bleed!

@Catsidhe: Good rune conversion! Tuning fork would be a sonic weapon, and there are some allusions to a sonic weapon in several cultures. As for the other one, those who sit above shadow is probably a reference to enlightenment, people in shadow, in the dark, are ignorant.

I had a flashback to an old arcade game called Pigskin, a barbarian football game, and there was a part where the crowd chanted "troll, troll, troll, troll" and the team that was behind received a troll player that helped even things out.

So perfecting hydrogen powered fusion rectors with a helium byproduct will allow for a rebirth of the airship, which, if it can match the speed of trains or a bit faster, can provide transportation to remote regions in an envirmentally friendly manner.

Well, I was saving to buy a small town and rig the election so I could be Mayor-Goddess for life, but giving some glorified travel agents that money sounds fine too, right?

@NevilClavain: Since whenever I try to declare "experiment time" people point out the folley, I am going to do the opposite and join the bandwagon. If we have willing subjects, let's do some trial and error and education!
