Look, I’ve never played Destiny or Destiny 2, nor to I generally click on these articles about them. But when a real-time game freezes you in place for several seconds, that’s always terrible game design.

There was actually a very long period where Final Fantasy games didn’t have crystals. I know 6, 7, and 8 didn’t. I’m pretty sure 10 didn’t. Can’t remember if 9 did. I didn’t get far enough in 12 to know for sure. But I think crystals are mostly just in 1 through 5 and then 13 onward.
