The gameplay is actually better than I thought (though my expectations were low). It’s not super difficult, but I did die for the first time recently. Really glad I bought the game. I got it mostly to play for my kids, but it turns out I’m playing it a lot when they’re not around (on a separate save file).
You “psych” yourself up, not “psyche”. “Psyche” is pronounced “SIKE-ee”, and it’s a noun referring to the human mind or soul. “Psych” is a verb that means to mentally prepare yourself.
I consider “do corruption” to be a hilarious, intentional joke in every instance I’ve seen it, like “do crimes”. I doubt (almost) anybody seriously thinks “do corruption” is correct.
The past tense of “to plead” is “pled”. He pled guilty. Damn browser spell check thinks it’s an error for some reason, but it’s correct. “Pleaded” is also acceptable. Oh, you like “pleaded” better, huh Firefox?
Sorry, just to be clear, are the debates happening in June 2019 or June 2020?
That’s a good call. I could easily see it happening. In retrospect, I myself perhaps should have waited for such a sale, and bought Woolly World to play with/for my kids now. Sadly, my son already knows Crafted World comes out on Friday, and I’d hate to yank that rug out from under him.
Sure, definitely. But that might be a year down the road.
I’m trying to estimate how long it would take me to beat Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, both by playing straight through and trying to 100% it. I mean maybe I could 100% it in 10 hours. Still worth $60, though; it’s a fantastic game. I’ve played through it a few times, and there’s time trials and hard mode if I…
Oh, I can identify with that. I am no stranger to being angry on the internet.
Well I look forward to picking up the new VR Kit for $20 on release at my local Target then!
My tentative plan is: play through the game normally once (both ways through the stage). Then when my kids want to replay it, I can go back to that old save and do one of the challenges for each level. There are apparently three challenges per level (according to GameXplain), so I should be able to do four distinct…
It’s a Nintendo-published game, so the wait for a sale is likely to be years long and any eventual discount is likely to be disappointing.
If I didn’t have kids, I’d probably give this a pass. I was incredibly disappointed by Yoshi’s Island DS way back in the day and haven’t picked up a Yoshi game since. In some ways it’s disappointing that there hasn’t been a fun, challenging Yoshi game in decades.
They’re doing things in order to not anger their existing customer base, yes. Labo may not have been a runaway success, but lots of people have it.
I’m guessing you don’t have any Labo. I do, and I can tell you that a serious part of the whole Labo experience is how easy it is to make this incredibly complex stuff. It’s also highly precise. “Cutting new pieces from a spare box lying around” is completely off the table. There is a 0% chance that it will happen.
These are $80 controllers, though. They’re necessary to play games. If Nintendo thinks we’re willing to shell out another $80 for another set of extra Joy-Cons, they’re seriously misguided. I’m guessing it’ll be the same form factor.
I agree the notion of reducing the difficulty of the game overall is BS, though I (as someone who hasn’t yet played Cuphead) wouldn’t mind having new easier difficulty options that were then also made available on other platforms.
Which specific BS are you requesting clarification on?
