I started playing DQ8 on the 3DS and stopped almost immediately due to the blurry font that’s used for dialog. I’m not willing to hurt my eyes just to replay a great game, even with all the updates it got. Such a lazy decision on Square/Nintendo’s part.

If you homeschool your kids, you can’t be surprised when they have trouble integrating into society. That’s half of what school is for: learning social behaviors!

I’m going to pick this up, but mainly because it’s a game my 4-year old son may be able to enjoy playing without getting too frustrated. Hopefully with the hand-eye coordination he learns from Kirby, he’ll be able to tackle some more challenging platformers. His favorite games to watch are Donkey Kong Country: Returns

A closer translation might have been “Junk Shot”. I’m not sure whether that’s better or worse.

Oof. At least you can turn off the Crimson Court DLC for any given playthrough. That’s something.

I don’t really care about what message we “send” Square anymore. The days of them making really good RPGs are behind us.

I wish I could give this article more stars.

But he didn’t always have the mustache.

Needs more images.

Reforming the voting system so it’s more hospitable to third parties is key too.

Will Mario and Zelda split the Nintendo vote for Game of the Year?

How would this even work? Will Mario have dialog? Will it be voiced my Charles Martinet? That seems…fraught.

Much of advancement is dependent on socialisation and — obviously — being alone with one’s superiors.
